Right in the middle of the Peak District, this is the home of Buxton water of course, you’ve all heard of it. It’s a lovely town, with lots of elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture and the most spectacular ornamental gardens. Don’t miss the Crescent and the huge Devonshire Dome of the Great Stables; explore the town by tram, or follow the Heritage Trail on foot. Shopaholics will be happy with the mix of big name and independent shops, grab a big slice of culture at Buxton Museum & Art Gallery, take a stroll through the 23 acres of the Pavilion Gardens. There’s a multitude of cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants for when you need something to eat.
