One for the foodies. The Horseshoes is an award winning gastro pub in the quiet Derbyshire countryside that makes the most of the seasonal fresh produce that’s available locally. The food is exquisite and on the mains are temptations such as Glazed Pork Fillet, Monkfish wrapped in Parma Ham, Pea & Asparagus Risotto, and Derbyshire Longhorn Beef Rib-Eye. There’s a children’s menu and Wednesday to Friday between 3.00pm and 5.00pm they serve afternoon tea. Do go, it’s so good, but note that the restaurant is not open on Mondays.
