Derby Cathedral, Derby, Derbyshire

When you’re in Derby you should go and see the cathedral, which has one of the tallest church towers in England at 212 feet high. In fact, on certain dates you can climb all 189 steps for a bird’s eye view of the city, and talking of birds, you might even spot the peregrine falcons that nest on the tower. Back down on the ground you can take a guided tour to admire the architecture, learn about the cathedral’s treasures and visit the little Bridge Chapel just a five minute walk away. If you;ve time go and have a home made cake in the café.
